New book on foundation-owned firms published
We are proud to announce a new book publication co-editored by Prof. Achleitner (CEFS), Prof. Block (Trier) and Dr. Strachwitz. The book also contains a chapter by Prof. Achleitner and Prof. Block as well as a chapter by Dr. Jarchow (CEFS) and Mr. Hosseini (Trier).
The digital version of the newly published Springer Gabler book on foundation-owned firms (German title: „Stiftungsunternehmen: Theorie und Praxis“; Editors: Achleitner, Ann-Kristin, Block, Jörn, Strachwitz, Rupert) is now available.
The book offers unique insights into the under-researched field of foundation-owned firms in Germany. It serves as a basis for future scientific work as well as for practical insights and orientation on foundation-owned firms. As a more and more important company type, foundation-owned firms are also termed "the good capitalists" as they are built on continuity and common welfare. Yet, they are also characterized by low transparency and accountability.
The book gives and interdisciplinary overview in different areas of foundation-owned firms, from Corporate Social Responsibility and succession planning up to cooperations with foundations. The print version will be available soon.
